On a wet and cold night in April we had a special guest volunteer, Alex Greenwich, Local State MP for Sydney. Alex has long been a supporter of Rough Edges, having served on other occasions as well as participating in a past Roughtober.
Most recently he helped us secure funding from the NSW Government, which is extremely welcome in these difficult times. We were informed of the good news that we will receive $30,000 to support the work of Rough Edges. during March, after initially being contacted by Alex in July 2023.
We welcomed Alex’s attendance on the same night we had students from Shore helping serve our patrons. The photo shows Alex with Lesley Beaumont, one of our wonderful volunteer team leaders and our CEO, Gabriel Lacoba.
